THE SECRET OF A CLOTHING THAT LASTS OF COURSE DEPENDS ON ITS FABRICS, ITS MANUFACTURING QUALITY, BUT ALSO ON THE MAINTENANCE PROVIDED TO IT. MAISON CQFD GIVES YOU ALL THE KEYS, ADVICE AND TRICKS TO KEEP YOUR SUIT FOR A LIFETIME AND PASS IT ON AS AN HERITAGE, THANKS TO THIS DETAILED CARE GUIDE.
THE MATERIAL
The House selected Super 110's 173g/m² virgin wool for its suit, neither too thick nor too fine, so that it is durable without being too hot to wear. The quality, selected in one of the finest Italian wool factories, has been tested and obtained a result guaranteeing excellent resistance to pilling. The fibers, of great finesse, were carded, spun and woven in Italy by our partner, who collaborates with the greatest luxury houses.
WASHING
The suit is a delicate garment to clean. Machine washing is therefore prohibited.
To take the best care of it, be sure to take it to a professional two to three times a year for moderate dry cleaning with restrictions. Between each cleaning, do not hesitate to air it out in the open air for a few hours to refresh the wool.
For small stains, use Marseille soap and cold water only (wool does not like hot water), rubbing gently.
DRYING
As with any wool garment that has gotten wet, avoid drying your suit near a direct heat source (radiator, window in summer, etc.).
Dry the jacket on a thick hanger with the button closed and the pants folded at the ironing crease, also on a thick hanger.
IRONING
Maison CQFD has selected a high-quality, almost wrinkle-free wool. In case of small creases, first leave the jacket on a thick hanger and the pants flat for 24 to 48 hours so that the material smooths out naturally. If necessary, delicate ironing at 110° maximum is possible, favoring steam rather than direct contact of the iron on the fabric.
TIDYING UP
To avoid deforming the jacket at shoulder level, store it on a thick hanger, always with the button closed. If you don't plan to wear your jacket for a while, you can store it in a protective cover.
The pants should be stored folded at the ironing fold, on a thick hanger.
Always store your clothes away from sunlight and moonlight.
- Do not cut the labels to always remember the composition of your garment and the right actions to adopt to take care of it. If you decide to part with it, this will also guarantee its quality to its new owner.
- Prioritize maintenance and repair: in the event of a small hitch or the creation of a hole in your part, go directly to a retoucher. If you need a button or component to repair your CQFD garment, send your request to the following address: contact@cqfd.com
