Main material :
100% virgin merino wool yarn, spun in Italy in one of the finest spinning mills guaranteeing Italian excellence.
The spinning mill is ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management) certified.
The yarns are composed of virgin merino wool fibers of exceptional quality, called “ultrafine” (with a fineness of 16.5 microns and a length of approximately 58-60mm).
Certified WOOLMARK Pure New Wool, this pure virgin wool contains a maximum of 0.3% foreign fibers, compared to 7% for classic virgin wool.
The fibers are carded (brushed) then spinning adds an additional step: combing. This operation consists of passing them through increasingly fine combs in order to eliminate the shortest fibers and impurities, thus allowing only the finest fibers to be retained and obtaining such a level of quality.
The wool is collected in Australia, it is the very first shearing of lambs, which is the finest and softest that can exist.
